We have an exciting entry-level opportunity available for an enthusiastic and committed person with a keen interest in Information Technology and Audio-Visual systems.
The starting point is a Trainee AV/ICT Technician. This is a formal two year traineeship undertaking:
- Year 1 – ICT30120 Certificate III Information Technology
- Year 2 – ICT40120 Certificate IV Information Technology
The full-time trainee tech role will start with basic duties relevant to developing your AV and ICT skills, such as but not limited to:
- Tasks supporting the Senior Tech assigned to an Installation project
- Tasks supporting the Senior Tech assigned to Service work
- Basic rack building
- Cable terminations
- Commissioning basic AV equipment
- Taking Tier 1 support calls – capturing basic details
- Undertake Tier 1 remote monitoring– confirm operation of customer systems
- Deliveries of equipment to customer sites
- Office housekeeping
Successful completion of the Traineeship should lead to a permanent full-time role as a Junior AV/ICT Technician, with the potential for promotion to a senior role.
Applicants will need to have an aptitude for learning technical tasks and systems with the ability to troubleshoot IT issues.
This position is based in Artarmon but within 6 months we would expect that you can visit a customer site independently and undertake on-site activities in liaison with senior support so a Provisional Drivers Licence is required.
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
