Australian Training Company (ATC) is currently looking for suitable applicants to take up a Certificate III Bricklaying Apprenticeship based on the Gold Coast.
As a Bricklaying Apprentice (CPC33020) for 48 months, you will learn to:
- Study plans and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures.
- Seal foundations with damp-resistant materials and spread layers of mortar to serve as base and binder for blocks.
- Lay bricks in rows, designs, and shapes, spreading mortar between the joints.
- Embed blocks in mortar and remove excess mortar to ensure a clean, professional finish.
- Cut, shape, and polish stones and bricks using machines and hand tools.
- Repair and maintain bricks, cement blocks, and related structures to ensure their longevity and stability.

To be successful for this apprenticeship you must:

- Ability to follow instructions
- Have a good work ethic
- Have your white card
- A current Licence
- Reliable transport
